I've got that Sunday Morning feeling and it's only Saturday

It's been a long week, but somehow I'm not sure what's been going on or why?
I think most of it has revolved around washing endless pairs of pink pants (darling husband will just have to change his ways) and trying to search for bits of school uniform that is still ok.
I'm putting off shopping for shoes, I know I need to buy 8 pairs of shoes/trainers for the girls and I could certainly do with some new ones.
I am also putting off going to the school shop. Daughter number 1 has a habit of losing bits and pieces, mobile phones, especially expensive bits of uniform. Sometimes it appears the day after I've bought a replacement and the total denials and incredulous surprise that flows from her is pretty impressive.
I think I'm trying to leave it all because trying to get my head around three completely different sets of things is tricky. I have one in Nursery, one in Primary and one in Senior School. I also sigh at the huge cost of school fees, but then see how much our daughter gets from it all and know it's worth it.
Really I think I just need a good nights sleep and a whole day without cooking, washing (clothes, not me)and My Chemical Romance. I might just pour myself a large Pimms and go and tickle my pigs.

Darling Frog,

There really is so little time left at the end of each long day for us to look after our lovely selves! These children cost an absolute fortune. I think we need a holiday from it all - my husband only wears pink pants to stag parties, but he does seem to go to rather a lot of those...

Dear DM,
you should really add this to your Divorce list.

'Tickle my pigs' - is that a euphimism? It sounds lovely, whatever. (Despite having grown up in the country I am a confirmed townie these days - the thought that somebody might have some pigs of their own to go tickle whenever they fancy it is somewhat beyond my admittedly limited imagination...)

It does sound like a euphemism, Potty Mummy, but I really do tickle my pigs! They love it and so do I! It's de-stressing and they grunt affectionately at me. The image above is of my two girls, Truffles and Pepper. (Trigger is in the freezer)...sorry to anyone vegetarian, my husband is responsible for that, not me.

how lovely that you have pigs to make you feel better! - but whatever floats your boat!

I hope you feel better and back on top of school lists/washing etc. At least the sun is out to dry all the washing quickly (oh my god, look what i am turning into!)

Frog inthe Field I must join you for Pimms and Pig Tickling. I just cannot accept that my baby daughter wil be starting school in January and is about to enter her final term in nursery. It is just too much.

Tickling pigs and a Pimms - what are Bank Holidays for?! And with such gorgeous pigs (Saddle Backs??!!) to tickle I too would rather be doing that. Just been given the opening times for the School second hand shop - 10.30am Thursday. Will be taking my tent and thermos down tonight then....
