I think , therefore I am

'Tis Elsie Button who has influenced me to write this post - she said I sound(ed) flash.
hmm, well, I don't think I'm flashy and I don't expose myself to others(i.e. flash), but I do have ideas above my station and I am very snobby about some things, most certainly.
My mother had a pink Jaguar when I was little, my parents always drove Jaguars, and so I naturally wanted one. Mine though, wasn't too flash, quite old and inexpensive to buy. I would fool myself I was cruising sedately, when really it was because the car only did 25mpg. I loved the smell of the leather seats and the purr of the engine. I quite liked the envy in other peoples' eyes, little realising their cars cost far more than mine.
But never fear, this frog is not a posh one.

Here's a few things about me, just so you know:
I'm not Welsh and I don't say "there's lovely!" (although I do live in Wales).
I don't wear gren wellies, oops, or green ones.
My spelling is exclleent
I don't wear a Barbour Jacket
Darling Husband does not wear a flat cap, but he likes moleskin trousers in this weather.
I have a wicked sense of humour and I'm very elephant, I mean eloquent.
I do not have a drinkth prbolem! (hic!)

Methinks the lady of the manor doth protest too much...(more sherry, vicar?). Just kidding, obviously. And a pink jag? Now that is seriously cool - you must have been the envy of all your schoolfriends!

Love your blog. Kind of a lurker who is still catching up on many of the old ones, but the ones I've read have been very entertaining. Mine is rather dull at times but I enjoy blogging so I keep on keeping on. Happy farming!

you don't say 'there's lovely' and you live in Wales? - that's a crime!

And what colour are your wellies? I have green wellies. I would like some red ones though. when we go for walks i am the only one who ever wears wellies!

No,no Barbour.
I do however wear an Driza Bone Drovers Coat occasionally.

Sorry Elsie B, I've shattered you illusions again! My wellies are Fushcia Hunters (!!PINK!! rather than pink).
Potty Mummy, my school friends never saw my parents cars, I missed out on some serious posing!

My papa had a jaguar, but then they were a bit posh.

I am not an outdoor person, I prefer the comfort of my centrally heated house or being in a hot country so I have no idea what a Barbour jacket or a Driza Drovers Coat are.....I know they are jackets/coats obviously! Help?

V impressed by pink in your life - clearly you were born to be involved with the entertainment industry - hence party organisation, I suppose!
